From the Quilter's Corner

In our quilt group we like to have a show and tell. When one of the quilters wants to show us a completed project, she brings the item to the group.

And so we’d like to show and tell the congregation about our symbols quilt…25 years ago in 1998, our quilt group decided to make a symbols quilt that represents the Etown CoB faith journey. We asked Lynne Hockley to design the symbols and Dorothy Rice to applique the symbols onto a square shaped piece of quilting material. We quilters completed and quilted the wall hanging.

Since the building renovations are completed look for the symbols wall hanging directly outside Pastor Naomi’s Study. Take a look at the symbols representing singing, the Bible, the Cross, service to others, and several more.

Whether you’d like to learn how to quilt, simply would like to view us quilting or to sit and chat, you can find us every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in room 230.

Any questions about our group, contact Peg Over who is the chairperson of our group.
