About the event
Adult Faith Formation Opportunities!
Discovery Class–As we finish this month's sermon series, Us | Them, you are invited to share your thoughts, listen to others, and contemplate together what personal response the Spirit might be leading you toward. This intentional reflection time will be through a circle process, in Discovery Class, led by Susan Hochstedler, a student of Eastern Mennonite Seminary and the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at EMU. Susan and her husband John Mast have been attending Etown CoB since May 2023. This particular class will be in-person only to accommodate this type of circle process. (Room 102)
Bible Explorations–This new intergenerational adult class will focus upon questions such as: Do you want to know more about the Bible? If so, what about the Bible would you like to learn? The first several sessions will center upon an overview of the contents of the Bible as well as an overview of the time periods in which the Bible was written. This class will be taught by retired Pastor and scholar Dave Leiter. (Room 106)
Young Adult Class–Discussion group geared towards post high school, those who are working, college age students at Etown College or elsewhere, 20 year olds post college, etc. (Parlor)
Chalkboard Chat–This is an unstructured class to meet in for conversation. Each week prompts will appear on the Chalkboard that can be used to inspire dialogue. (Room 108)
Sip N’ Chat–Located in Memorial Lobby this time will offer an informal space for those just looking to gather with some coffee and conversation during the Faith Formation Hour.
